2025 BMW M5 Sedan

I have almost no words to describe test-driving the fabulous M5. This is such an amazing drive that maybe is better not to drive it, because after riding the BMW M5, most other cars would feel too basic.
There are many high levels of automobile power and luxury, from sports cars that impress, to the very top supercars that only a few can afford, but when you say “M5”, everything else goes down; even the most expensive and powerful European sports cars don’t look as impressive when compared with the fabulous M5.
The M5 combines extraordinarily powerful performance with a BMW M Hybrid drive system, producing an ultra-impressive 717 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, both numbers are high league performance that makes this sedan so powerful that it can almost fly.
The M5 is not only impressive with its incredible torque and horsepower. As I see its elegant sporty silhouette from far away, it looks alive with the luxury and sporty design that only the BMW M5 sedan can express.
On the inside, the M5 is even more impressive with every luxury detail and M5 Sport badges everywhere. It is very elegant and very sporty; it has a strong, aggressive luxury image that reminds you of speed and performance, but it also has a kind of very psychedelic interior ambiance.

The front fascia of this bimmer reminds you of the face of a very fast tiger ready to run and win the race, while the body of the M5 is very aerodynamic, elegant, and sporty at the same time.
The 2025 BMW M5 Sedan is a great sedan to drive, but only a few can afford it, with pricing starting around $150K. It is one of the most expensive toys that one can have, but if you can pay for it, every dollar is totally worth it.

M5 Return
The BMW M5 returns in 2025 with a new plug-in hybrid twin-turbo V8 engine and an M5 Touring Wagon new version for the U.S.
The 2025 BMW M5 uses the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine assisted by an electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack for better efficiency and range.
Similar to previous generations, the M5 is a comfortable highway cruiser, capable of quickly and effortlessly reaching triple-digit speeds that drivers can enjoy on a race track or unrestricted highways like of fast German Autobahn.

Despite its heavier weight, its huge power can take you to very fast speeds, in just a few milliseconds. Its cornering prowess is enhanced by the addition of rear-wheel steering typical of the 5 Series.
The M5 features a stylish interior with an impressive array of technology and tools to help you stay safe and enjoy a better driving experience, much like flying on a spaceship.
The new M5 is offered in a single model, the M5 sedan, and is now only available as a plug-in hybrid.
It is based on the latest 5 Series, and so far the only model variation is the wagon version, called M5 Touring.

Powertrain 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine
The new plug-in hybrid powertrain of the 2025 BMW M5 combines a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Total output is 717 horsepower, which is about 100 more horsepower than the unassisted V8 of the latest M5 series.
All-wheel drive remains standard, a great bonus for this type of sedan.

Internal Cabin Psychedelic Elegance
The M5’s cabin is similar to the original 5 Series sedan on which it’s based, but with notable tweaks and improvements, such as a flat-bottomed M-specific steering wheel with customizable M buttons, a red center marker, and large shift paddles to control speed change.
The sportier seats are designed to offer greater support while driving, and the lighting elements and screen animations are also exclusive to the M5.
Several luxury upholstery options are available, including leather, wood, and aluminum.
It keeps the same five-seat layout, iDrive control knob, and large display screens as the 5 Series.
A panoramic sunroof and the high-quality Bowers & Wilkins audio system are standard equipment.
A lightweight carbon fiber roof is available, and it eliminates the sunroof.
Technological updates, like the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central infotainment touchscreen, combine to present the driver with tons of configurable information. The infotainment system is powered by BMW’s iDrive 8.5 software, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Additional connectivity features, such as video streaming and gaming, are available to entertain the driver and passengers, but can only be used when the car is parked.

Safety
The M5 offers numerous driver assistance features standard, such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Blind Spot Monitoring to keep you safe on the road.
More advanced features, such as BMW’s Hands-Free Driving Mode, are optional as part of the Driving Assistant Professional package.
Key safety features include: standard Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, standard Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Assist, and available Adaptive Cruise Control with Hands-Free Driving Mode.

Driving Modes
BMW offers all sorts of advanced driving modes that adjust how the car uses its various propulsion sources, including a setting for the all-wheel-drive system that allows for a rear-wheel-drive drift mode. Tuned dampers, rear-wheel steering, and massive brakes are standard.
This sports sedan offers super power and capable handling in its sportier driving modes, while maintaining good ride quality and a quiet, luxurious demeanor in Comfort mode. It feels like you have a few different engines, and you can switch them just with the click of the driving mode selector.
The wide range of available settings and adjustments can be overwhelming, but once you learn to manage your desired driving mode then it becomes easy and practical to use.
The M5
This is just the best of the best in the BMW family! When you want to drive a luxurious sports sedan, nothing else will impress you as much as the M5. It is expensive but amazing.
